The tradition of the wind music in Sevlievo dates back to 1884. As part of this tradition, every year since 1986, the festival of wind orchestras takes place. This festival is a part of the program of the festivities of Sevlievo. The festival takes place every two years. Almost all Bulgarian orchestras have taken part in it, as well as orchestras from Austria, Hungary, and Greece. This year the 12th international band festival – Sevlievo 2008 will take place from 16th till 17th October.

Istanbul City Orchestra has build on 1989 by Ekrem Tekesin, our first conductor, orchestra belongs to Istanbul Municipality, 40 artist and a Conductor.
Orchestra is build on Bigband style and responsible to perform Pop, Jazz, Classical,Funk, Blues, Film musics and Turkish popular music styles.
On winter seasons Orchestra gives concerts on Istanbul Consert Halls and on Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, in this hall famos guest stars accompany to Orchestra. Summer season starts on June, orchestra gives concerts on open air ceremonis and Istanbul' s open area places like Taksim square, Kadikoy square, Historical place of Sultanahmet, Bakirkoy square. Also it gives free concerts to schools and participates special events.
